Updated with images taken after the storm in Oak Park.

Quite a night. Video taken out my bedroom window here just west of Chicago. With the door to the room closed, I could open the window and because of the wind direction no snow came into the room. Videos and images are ©Todd A. Bannor and may not be used without permission.

My first look at our backyard the morning of Groundhog Day.

The snow wedged itself in layers between the screen and storm window of the outer back door. At first I though it was a drift, but luckily it was not.

Yikes! The alley. My neighbor Bill looks a bit dismayed.

Our little Toro snow thrower chugged its way through the drifts. Just as I finished clearing for the day, the blade clutch spring broke. Another stroke of luck.

Somebody needs to invent a snow thrower that climbs stairs. Hey Dean Kamen...

Back to the alley as the neighborhood gets to work.
